Artificial Intelligence, Productive Forces, and the Common Prosperity of Humanity

Scope of the call

At every major transformation from the industrial revolutions to the digital turn, humanity has reconsidered the relationship between productive forces and social organisation. Artificial intelligence is now one of the most important dimensions of that relationship.

BRIQ welcomes critical, comparative, theoretical, and empirical studies on the effects of artificial intelligence on productive forces, labour, scientific production, public planning, international inequalities, and ethical governance.

Labour and production

• Automation, the labour process, and productivity
• The transformation of white-collar cognitive labour
• Reskilling and the distribution of productivity gains

Public benefit and technological sovereignty

• Artificial intelligence in health, education, agriculture, energy, and disaster management
• Data sovereignty, computing infrastructure, and open source
• Public-oriented applications in developing countries

Science and ethics

• Scientific discovery and verification
• Academic authorship, originality, and citation
• Explainability, accountability, privacy, and security

Guidelines and submission

Original Turkish- or English-language manuscripts of 5,000–9,000 words that are not under consideration elsewhere are accepted. BRIQ uses APA 7, and scholarly articles undergo double-blind peer review.

Submission

Manuscripts may be prepared in Turkish or English. Authors should review the submission guidelines before submitting.
